Moliki Matavao

I’m not putting them at the top of the list because he is the best recruit. However, he is definitely the most intriguing. 2021 tight end Moliki Matavao is the lucky party. He was offered by Tuoti earlier this week, and comes from Liberty High School in Henderson, Nevada. Although he is an unranked recruit, he could be considered a rising star of sorts. He has 13 offers from several programs including the likes of Arizona State, California, Duke, and Tennessee. Those are certainly prestigious programs.

Measuring in at six-foot-six, 240 pounds, he is certainly a weapon to be reckoned with. A two-sport athlete at Liberty, he also doubled as a wide receiver for the football program. He most recently received an offer from Tennessee on March 1. Again, this is a situation where Nebraska Football might be an underdog given the amount of offers he has and the programs that have offered him. Nevertheless, it is still worth a shot.

What could he bring to the Nebraska Football program? He is your prototypical tight end in the sense that he is a bulldozer. Once he catches the ball, defenders will have to keep their heads on a swivel for risk of getting trucked. He also has soft hands, and catches the ball with ease. If there is one knock on him, it is his speed. That however is something that most tight ends lack. If Nebraska Football were to land him, he would be an instant boost to the offense.
