It was not easy, but Nebraska Basketball got the job done.

It’s a great time to be a Nebraska Basketball fan right about now. I never would have thought just a couple weeks ago that I would utter those words again this season. However, this Nebraska basketball team has showed resiliency, toughness, and the willingness to go all-out in the Big Ten tournament. Thursday was another example of that as they defeated the fifth overall seed in Maryland who had given them fits in the regular season. However, that’s what makes the month of March so special in the college basketball world. Anybody can beat anybody on any given night.

Nebraska’s win on Thursday was one of epic proportions. Maryland was ranked as the 21st overall team in the regular season. Nebraska proved that they really don’t care about regular-season rankings. All that matters is what is happening right now, and right now, Nebraska basketball is on a roll. This may be Tim Miles’ finest hour as he has taken an injury-riddled roster to the third day of the Big Ten tournament. Although the challenges won’t get any easier from here on out, this team has showed tremendous heart over these past couple of days.

Without further ado, we give our three takeaways from Thursday’s win against Maryland as Nebraska lives to see another day in Chicago.
