Dedrick Young made the most out of Thursday

Dedrick Young made the most out of the Nebraska Pro Day. He is another player that could fly under the radar and could be a tremendous get for whichever team decides to take him in the upcoming draft. Even if is not selected, he should be able to find a home in the National Football League.

At the Pro Day, he ran a 40-yard dash that would register in the high 4.4 range. Nebraska football tweeted that he ended up running a 4.51. He did 26 repetitions on the bench, certainly a good number.

In 2018, Young recorded 83 tackles (41 solo tackles and 42 assisted tackles.) In addition, he also proved to be a ballhawk of sorts. He recorded an interception and five pass deflections. 2017 was also a tremendous season for Young. He recorded 33 solo tackles and 47 assisted tackles. The 47 solos ranked ninth overall in the Big Ten conference. He also recorded  a sack and a pass deflection that year.

According to DraftScout.com, Young is ranked 40th out of 116 inside linebackers. He does not have a projected round that he will be drafted in according to the site. One thing is for certain: his draft stock has improved as a result of this Pro Day. He will certainly be picked up by a team whether it be in the draft or afterwards. His speed and playmaking ability are a much-needed asset in the National Football League.
