Nebraska basketball plays at Michigan State tonight and here is everything you need to know including how to watch and stream.

When Michigan State and Nebraska basketball met back on January 17th, both teams were in the thick of the Big Ten race and the chase for an NCAA tournament bid.

Now, as the two teams prepare to meet again six weeks later, the Spartans are still battling it out for a Big Ten championship and have already secured an at-large berth with an incredibly impressive resume.

Nebraska basketball, on the other hand, has gone the exact opposite direction and with the Huskers sitting at 15-14 overall, they are trying to lock up a berth to the NIT because March Madness seems like a pipe dream.

Nebraska closes with the road game tonight at Michigan State and a home game against Iowa Sunday afternoon and if the Huskers want to reach the NIT, they need to win at least one of those games.

If Nebraska drops both, they would finish the regular season 15-16. That would mean that Nebraska would need to win at least two games in the Big Ten tournament to finish .500 if say they advanced into the quarterfinals or semifinals and lost.

On another front, if Nebraska wants to try and avoid playing on the first day of the Big Ten tournament, it desperately needs two victories. The Huskers are currently 5-13 in the conference and are tied with Penn State for 12th. Indiana is one game better at 6-12, while the Rutgers and Illinois are both 7-11.

When it comes to the Spartans, they have been a little up and down lately. They beat Michigan and then turned around and lost at Indiana, causing them to be swept for the season by the Hoosiers, who sit one game better than Nebraska in the Big Ten.

For Michigan State, a loss in this game would basically end any shot they have of winning the Big Ten championship and it would also hurt their seeding for the NCAA tournament.

Both teams are dealing with injuries as Nick Ward and Joshua Langford are still out for Michigan State, while Nebraska basketball will be without Isaac Copeland who is out for the season and now Thomas Allen, who will miss tonight’s game with a foot injury.

At any rate, the Huskers need something good to happen and even making tonight’s game competitive would feel like a step in the right direction. And with that, here is the key game info.
