Nebraska football coach Scott Frost brought in a talented group of recruits and here are three guys with the best chance to start right away in 2019.

In the first year of head coach Scott Frost, the Nebraska football team took some nice steps forward, even though the Huskers won just four of 12 games.

If a few things had gone differently, Nebraska football could have easily won six games. Heck, even if just Adrian Martinez stays healthy and is able to finish the game against Colorado and play versus Troy, the Huskers probably go at least 6-6.

That’s life though. Nebraska had chances to win other games and couldn’t seal the deal. The Huskers were right there against Ohio State, Northwestern and Iowa on the road, three of the best teams in the Big Ten last season. Throw in a win over Michigan State and the Huskers really aren’t far off.

One thing that will help is a 2019 recruiting class that ranks first in the Big Ten West and fourth overall in the Big Ten as well as 19th in the country. Frost and the Huskers brought in skill guys at quarterback, running back, receiver and tight end, while also addressing both lines and adding some key guys on defense.

From top to bottom, it was one of the best classes Nebraska football has landed in some time and there are more than a few guys who should have a chance to contribute right away.

Yet, there’s a difference between playing and starting and when it comes to freshmen playing their way into the starting lineup next season, here are three guys with the best chance.
