The 2019 Nebraska football recruiting class looks to be a good one.

With national signing day in the books, the evaluation of the 2019 recruiting classes have begun to take place. Friday, 247Sports released an article detailing their “Super Six” recruits for Nebraska football.

Several analysts compiled their list of the top six recruits in the 2019 Nebraska football class. It was interesting to see who they voted number one. On several of the lists, Wandale Robinson came in at the top spot. Perhaps more interesting is who the analysts pick to be their sleeper candidate. For some of them it was Jimmy Fritzsche while for others it was Jamie Nance. The voting system worked in the form of points as each of the commitments went toe-to-toe with the others in terms of ranking. After all the votes were compiled, the final rankings were listed at the bottom of the article.

To me, this just showcased how deep the Nebraska football signing class was. Often times when you get to the bottom of any ranking, the list starts to thin out a bit. There is often times a disparity between the first player on the list in the last player. That did not seem to be the case for Nebraska. In what was a rather lengthy list, Robinson finished at the top of the standings. As far as the sleeper category went, where each analyst identified the player that could make the most impact while flying under the radar, Fritzsche won in that category.

It was interesting to see all the names on paper and what the major analysts thought. It was nothing that was outrageous either. The rankings seemed to match up pretty well. As you know, the site has been very high on Robinson and for good reason. I certainly agree with Jamie Nance being a sleeper candidate. He can bring playmaking ability to the wide receiver position, and become a major weapon for Nebraska football moving forward.

It will certainly make for an interesting preseason camp for Nebraska football. They have several athletes in the 2019 class and where they will put them will be interesting. The one potential guarantee as far as where and athlete will go in the class is Robinson. He is projected to go at the running back position. He has had tremendous success there over the course of his high school career, and his speed and shifting this should translate well to Nebraska and college football.

The bottom line here is that fans should be very excited about the future. The Cornhuskers have playmakers on both sides of the football and that will allow them to compete with some of the best programs in the Big Ten conference. There should be fun Saturdays in Lincoln for years to come.
