Over the weekend, Nebraska football hosted its junior day, which is a key starting off point for the 2020 recruiting class and beyond and here are the three big takeaways from the weekend.

It was a big weekend for Nebraska football and for a lot of different reasons. One of the notable things was that two prominent former Huskers took part in the Super Bowl Sunday, with Rex Burkhead helping the New England Patriots win a sixth Super Bowl.

However, beyond that, it was also a big weekend for Nebraska football when it comes to recruiting and that’s because the Huskers welcomed in a bunch of recruits from the 2020 class and beyond as the program starts to move past 2019.

Certainly, the Huskers still have some work to do this week and there are still some important recruiting battles that head coach Scott Frost and company would love to win. On the same note, however, Nebraska has done a great job with this group and the addition of Noa Pola-Gates a couple of weeks ago was another boon for NU.

Basically, a junior day is a chance for players to take an unofficial visit to the school along with other players. It allows players and coaches to develop their relationship more, while also giving recruits a chance to see how they could fit.

At this point, it’s hard to tell if the weekend was a success or not, but generally, the reviews of players on social media have been good and here are three things we can takeaways based on who was there and their reactions.
