Is there any hope with Fonua and will Nebraska offer Bivens?

With the very real chance that Nebraska football could miss out on Parker, another name to keep an eye on Soni Fonua, a three-star defensive end from Mesa Community College.

If you look at 247 sports, the two predictions that are out there are both in favor of Oklahoma State, however, Fonua visited Nebraska back on Jan. 11 and went to LSU this past weekend, so it’s hard to know if anything could have changed.

He’s another pass-rushing target that the Huskers would surely love to get their hands on, however, if Nebraska whiffs on Parker and Fonua, it will have an interesting decision to make.

It’s basically known that John Bivens, a four-star running back would commit to Nebraska if they asked him too, however, it appears with a loaded class already at running back, that Nebraska wants to fill other holes first, especially at wide receiver and edge rusher.

Nebraska has three scholarships available. One or two could be saved for a graduate transfer and that will be something to watch. But you have to wonder what Nebraska will do if it lands say Houston and Parker. Would it still take Bivens? Or keep that spot open?
