Spielman will score at least 10 touchdowns

This is by far the boldest prediction of the three not because I doubt Spielman’s ability to do so. 10 receiving touchdowns would be an easy bet for him, except Nebraska football has so many different weapons that they can go to in the red zone. As it looks right now, they that they can beat you on their way to paydirt using several different combinations of personnel.

For starters, just look at their running back trio. All three running backs have the ability to make big plays and get points. Wherever they have played, the trio has proven that they can be an effective option in the passing game as well. Now, add in veteran tight end Jack Stoll to the mix. Just by positional nature, the tight end is often looked at as a first-option weapon in the red zone. This is one area where height may be an issue for Spielman. Generally, the red zone is a very crowded area that favors defenders due to the fact that receivers can be tightly covered with no penalty.

This is not an impossible proposition for Spielman however, Nebraska football just has to be creative with their play calls. Curl routes and slants could be an option for Spielman. This is where footwork will be important for him too. Spielman will have to stay one step ahead (pun intended) as soon as the ball is snapped. It will be difficult, but with his talent, there is a chance he could do it. It may be a bold prediction, but 10 touchdowns is certainly a reachable mark for Spielman. After all, he had eight in 2018,
