Nebraska basketball will pay a visit to Indiana tonight in another challenging road game and here are three keys to a Huskers victory.

Big Ten play has not been easy for Nebraska basketball and part of it has had to do with the daunting schedule faced by the Huskers up to this point.

Nebraska comes into tonight’s showdown with Indiana with a 2-3 record in the conference but with all three losses coming on the road against Minnesota, Maryland and Iowa. All three of those teams are tournament contenders and so are the Hoosiers, who will host the Huskers in Bloomington at Assembly Hall tonight.

For Nebraska basketball, it’s another stern test but far from the only one this week as the Huskers will turn around and play host to Michigan State Thursday night. While NU might not need to win both games, it probably needs to grab at least one this week.

A 2-5 conference record would be tough to recover from in the Big Ten and would make a 10-10 mark even harder to achieve. Yet, when you look at these two games, it’s possible Nebraska will have a better chance Thursday night at home against Michigan State.

Playing on the road is tough and while the Huskers did win at Clemson, they haven’t performed well in league play away from home. On top of that, Indiana is really good and has two of the best individual players in the conference. Certainly, James Palmer is a good answer to Romeo Langford but Juwan Morgan is a star too and head coach Archie Miller has the Hoosiers playing lights out on defense.

It’s a winnable game for Nebraska basketball but it won’t be easy and here are three keys to victory.
