Is this a must-win for Nebraska?

There always feels like a huge difference between a 2-2 record and being 1-3. The Huskers are feeling that right now after a tough loss against Iowa handed them their second-straight defeat.

It’s way too early to panic and with the strength of the Big Ten, this wasn’t unexpected. However, after such a strong start to the season, opening 1-3 in the league is rather disappointing. But a 1-4 start might seriously doom the Huskers NCAA hopes.

While I understand the people who are getting worried about Nebraska making it, this team is still very good. James Palmer is a stud and the defense is legit. With the non-conference resume it compiled, Nebraska basketball could probably make the big dance with a 10-10 record in the Big Ten and maybe a win in the Big Ten tournament,

A wining record like 11-9 would probably clinch it. Either way, a win over Penn State is critical. The Huskers have nine home games left in conference and if they can win the majority of those, plus add in a couple of road wins, then NU should be dancing in March. However, a loss tonight could be a bad omen for a team hoping to finally get off the bubble.
