Nebraska Football offered linebacker Jordan Dylan a scholarship on Wednesday.
Nebraska is still trying to work on improving their pass rush. That much is clear as they offered a scholarship to 2019 pass rusher Dylan Jordan on Wednesday . Although Jordan may have flown under the radar, that does not mean he lacks talent. As a matter of fact, he could be a “diamond in the rough” type of scenario.
Currently, Jordan does not have any other Power Five offers. He is not rated by 247SSports, but according to a report from the Omaha World Herald, he is a three-star prospect according to Rivals.com. Jordan measures at 6-foot-3, 215 pounds and runs track at his high school. He is scheduled to visit Nebraska in January.

In watching some of his film, one thing is noticeable from the get-go. He is fast. As soon as the ball is snapped, he runs to the point of attack. Sometimes, speed in highlights can be deceiving. However, he also had highlights as a running back and that speed was very much there. He played outside linebacker in high school, and I could see him being a very effective edge rusher at the college level.
Nebraska certainly needs a player that can fill that role especially since their leading pass rusher Luke Gifford graduated. He had 5.5 sacks last year to lead the team. Khalil Davis among others will have to step up in 2019.
I like the fact that Nebraska is continuing to recruit players on the defensive side of the football. We already know that they will have a strong offensive core. Now, they can balance that out with an even better defensive line-up. It seems as though they are making a concerted effort to get better on both sides of the football, and with the amount of talent coming in the 2019 class, it should be a special one.
It has been made clear that the football program will not rest on their laurels when it comes to recruiting. They are making efforts to land the impact players and trying to go toe-to-toe with some of the biggest programs in college football. We already saw them beat out Alabama for Ty Robinson and Clemson for Jimmy Fritzche . This momentum that they have built up just this month alone makes me excited for what is to come. The future of Nebraska football under Scott Frost is very bright and I do not expect that to change anytime soon.
