Nebraska Football: 3 things on the Huskers Christmas wish list
Christmas is upon us and with that in mind, here are three things that Nebraska football could really use for Christmas.
When it comes time for the Christmas season, it’s a great time for reflection. It’s also a good time to think about what people need and in terms of the Nebraska football team, there are definitely a few things the Huskers could put on their wish list.
Like each of us, our Christmas list is often a mix and match of things that we both want and need. Sometimes our significant others or parents may get us a gift that we don’t exactly want, but deep down, they know and we know, it’s something we need.
That’s how it goes during the holiday season, especially as you get older. Instead of fancy new toys, you get socks and pants. But when you are talking about what a football team hypothetically needs and wants for Christmas, well, all bets are off.
After this past season, the Nebraska football program should be pretty pleased. Yes, the Huskers went 4-8 for the second straight season, but thanks to Scott Frost, there is hope in Lincoln again.
Good players are coming to Nebraska too. The talent has never really been the issue, although it has needed an upgrade. For his part, Frost has the No. 4 class in the Big Ten and the top group in the Big Ten West. That along with a stud, Adrian Martinez at quarterback, gives Nebraska fans reason for optimism.
So there is plenty to be thankful for as a Husker fan, however, if fans and the team could have three things for Christmas, here is what will crack the list.
