4-star defensive end Ty Robinson

When it comes to recruiting, sometimes you have to get a little creative and that’s why you have to give credit to Frost and the Nebraska coaching staff for what it did Wednesday.

If you haven’t been following closely, Robinson is a 4-star defensive end, a kid from Arizona that is also being pursued by Alabama, Oregon, USC and Cal. He’s the 16th-ranked strong-side defensive end in the nation and one of the best players in Arizona.

Robinson set his decision date for next Wednesday after recently visiting all of the schools that are among the favorites to land him. For some time, 247sports has projected Robinson to Nebraska football and they are still the favorite, but for good measure, every single coach paid a visit to him Thursday in hopes of persuading him.

It might seem like a tough choice for Robinson, who could go play for Nick Saban at Alabama, but if you look at the chance to make an immediate impact, Nebraska can offer that for a team that could big in store for big things in 2019. Keep an eye on Robinson and by Wednesday, we should know his fate.
