Nebraska dominated the game from beyond the arc

The most impressive thing about the Huskers win over Creighton was the fact that Nebraska finished the game with 94 points. The most important stat though might have been 3-point field goals. Nebraska made 14, Creighton made 11.

In past seasons, it was the Bluejays that always seemed to win behind the 3-point line and that was a big reason why Nebraska never seemed to be able to get over the hump.

However, Miles and the Huskers put a greater emphasis on 3-pointers this season and after the result against Creighton, it seems to be a wise decision. James Palmer was particularly good, knocking down 6-of-7 shots from beyond the arc, while Thomas Allen, Isaiah Roby and Glynn Watson Jr. all made at least two triples of their own.

Creighton hit some shots from deep too, 11 in fact. Yet, the Huskers still outscored them by nine points on 3-pointers and that was a big part of determining the final outcome.
