It was still just one loss

Losing this game on the road will sting for Nebraska basketball simply because it had a 13-point lead in the second half and couldn’t seal the deal. That’s an opportunity that you need to take advantage of, especially against a solid opponent.

The matchup was tough for the Huskers and sometimes that will happen, but you still need to find a way to win the game. Nebraska fouled way too much and then when the game was on the line, the Huskers fell apart on both ends of the floor.

Things like that happen, especially on the road. But remember, Nebraska was up 13. So it’s not like it can’t beat a big, tough team like Minnesota. It just has to execute. The good news is that the Huskers will get a chance to get that good feeling again Saturday against Creighton.

That will be a huge game because of the rivalry in-state. However, it would also mean another good win on the resume in non-conference play. More importantly, a win would allow this team to get some confidence back.

The worst part though is Nebraska just got back into the AP Top 25 for the first time in four years and after this loss, it looks like that will end after just one week.
