Nebraska has some impact players on both sides of the ball

While Nebraska football will have Adrian Martinez back in the fold he is far from the only impact player coming back for next season or at least, not the only one with the potential to make a big impact.

Another one should be the starting running back next season and that’s Maurice Washington, a back that is a threat as both a runner and receiver. He had multiple games with over 100 yards rushing and also had more than 100 yards receiving against Iowa.

JD Spielman is another name to watch. He has put together back-to-back seasons with more than 800 yards and if he didn’t miss the last two games due to injury, he might have reached 1,000 yards.

On defense, the Huskers have some talent too. Guys like Mo Barry, Lamar Jackson, Khalil Davis, Carlos Davis, Ben Stille, Dicaprio Bootle and JoJo Domann are all back. With those guys and some fresh faces, the Huskers should be able to field a respectable defense. Either way, there is going to be plenty of talent on the field next season, enough to contend seriously in the division.
