Offense: C

Nebraska football had been on a tear offensively going into the Michigan State game, with 450 yards or more in the previous seven games, however, the Huskers got stymied by both MSU and the weather.

Whether Nebraska had the wind at their back or into their face, Martinez struggled. Certainly, he missed Spielman and not having his explosiveness hurt. Yet, it doesn’t excuse a 16-of-37 performance that went for just 145 yards.

The running game wasn’t much better. Nebraska did manage to get 100 yards and Devine Ozigbo ran 18 times for 74 yards, including a first down that clinched the game. Stanley Morgan Jr. also stepped up on senior day, catching a 35-yard pass to set up the Huskers first field goal. He finished with four grabs for 67 yards total.

The worst thing was that Nebraska turned it over twice. Those fumbles were costly and one happened in Michigan State territory. Yet, as rough as it was at times, Nebraska managed three scoring drives when it counted and it was enough to win. That’s at least deserves a passing grade.
