Nebraska Basketball: 3 takeaways from Huskers win over Seton Hall
Nebraska is already building an NCAA resume
After getting left out of the NCAA tournament last season, Tim Miles and the Huskers worked really hard on a schedule that could get them into the big dance. Of course, Nebraska was always going to play a Big East team as part of the Gavitt Games, but the focus was on a tough schedule.
So far it’s paying off. Nebraska basketball got a big win over Seton Hall, which will look good on the resume later in the season as long as the Pirates don’t disappoint. What makes it even more impressive is how the Huskers won the game.
They didn’t just sneak out a win at home or anything like that. They dominated an NCAA tournament team by 23 points. The game was close for much of the first 30 minutes or so, but the Huskers pulled away at the end and were clearly the better team.
Not only does this Nebraska team deserve to be ranked in every college basketball poll, but it also deserves recognition from all the haters that said it didn’t beat anyone last year. At least when it comes to non-conference play, they can’t say that anymore.
