Huskers win and get a resume-builder

Last season, Nebraska won 22 games during the regular season but was still left out of the NCAA tournament. That was because the Huskers didn’t have enough quality wins, especially outside the Big Ten conference.

That’s something the Huskers are hoping to change this season and it starts with Seton Hall. Miles worked really hard to put together a schedule that would give Nebraska a chance to build an NCAA resume and he succeeded — now it’s time for his team to deliver.

A big advantage for Nebraska basketball is the fact that the Huskers are playing at home. They are a much better team in Lincoln than on the road, just look at what Nebraska did to Michigan last season.

This game could be similar to that one, although it will be closer. However, you can see Nebraska taking its postseason frustration out on the Pirates, who offer the first chance for NU to earn a quality win.

While it’s hard to put your finger on it, this Nebraska team just feels different. There is a hunger and a drive that is showing through on both ends of the floor. If that continues tonight, Nebraska will win the game. Probably by 10-15 points. Yet, if that intensity slips, Seton Hall is more than good enough to steal a road game from the Huskers in Lincoln.
