Nebraska Football vs Ohio State: How to watch, storylines and more
It’s gameday for Nebraska football and Ohio State. The Huskers and Buckeyes are meeting Saturday and here’s how to watch, plus storylines and more.
After winning back-to-back games, the Nebraska football team heads to Columbus Saturday to take on the Ohio State Buckeyes. The Huskers, who are 2-6, are heavy underdogs and need a win to keep their hopes of making a bowl game alive.
While Nebraska football has won two straight over Minnesota and Bethune-Cookman, Ohio State is fresh off a 49-29 loss to Purdue. The Buckeyes are still the 10th-ranked team in the nation and is nearly a 20-point favorite Saturday against Nebraska.
Of course, we all know about how the Huskers have struggled against the Buckeyes, especially in the last two games. Nebraska lost 62-3 in 2016 in Columbus and also fell at home last season 56-14. Ohio State didn’t punt once in either game, something that will need to change if Nebraska is going to have any shot at all.
With kickoff just hours away, here is a look at Ohio State, some storylines and how to watch Nebraska take on the Buckeyes.

Who are the Buckeyes?
Led by Urban Meyer, Ohio State is still among the top contenders in the Big Ten and what makes them so dangerous is their offense. Quarterback Dwayne Haskins has emerged as a Heisman candidate and the Buckeyes are arguably the best offense in the Big Ten.
While Ohio State doesn’t run the ball as much as it has in the past, the Buckeyes are loaded with talented receivers such as Parris Campbell and K.J. Hill. Ohio State does have some weaknesses on defense and ranks 10th in the Big Ten in passing yards allowed. The defensive front is talented and deep as usual but the pass rush isn’t quite as good without Nick Bosa.
Ohio State comes into the game fresh off a bye. In the last two games, the Buckeyes beat Minnesota at home 30-14 and lose to Purdue 49-20.

Nebraska football fans seem optimistic coming into this matchup, even though it will be an uphill battle for the Huskers. Here are three reasons why Nebraska has the ability to hang around with Ohio State.
Even earlier in the week though, Nebraska players and coaches seemed confident this week. Say what you want about Scott Frost and the Huskers, but they sure don’t feel like a 2-6 football team.
