Martinez, Stanley and Spielman also have big nights

When it comes down to it, there are going to be a lot of fireworks between Nebraska and Ohio State. The Buckeyes quarterback Haskins is a Heisman candidate and has two of the best wideouts in the Big Ten in Parris Campbell and K.J. Hill.

Yet, while the Ohio State offense is electric, Nebraska’s is too, especially with Adrian Martinez under center. Martinez ranks in the top four in the Big Ten in passing yards per game and passing efficiency. He’s completing 66 percent of his passes to go along with 11 touchdowns and six interceptions.

Furthermore, Ohio State’s pass defense is not good. Nebraska is 11th in pass defense, but Ohio State is tenth, allowing 241 yards per game. Throw in the fact that the Huskers boast two stellar receivers of their own in Stanley Morgan Jr.and JD Spielman and it’s easy to envision Martinez having a big night.

If he does, as long as the Nebraska defense can find a way to get a few stops, the Huskers should have a chance to at least keep the game competitive.
