One of the best linebackers in the 2020 class now has an offer from the Nebraska football program.

While the 2019 class is getting closer to getting wrapped up, the Nebraska football coaching staff has fully turned their attention to the 2020 class. 4-star linebacker Cameron Riley is the latest official offer for the Cornhuskers.

Riley is far from the only 4-star prospect from the 2020 class Nebraska has offered in the last few days. Earlier this week the program officially threw its hat in the ring for receiver Troy Omeire.

It appears that the Huskers are working themselves through the Southeast in their current swath of offers. Omeire hails from Sugar Land, Texas. Riley is from deep in the heart of Auburn/Crimson Tide country.

From Evergreen, Alabama, he’s currently considered the eighth best player in the state and the 14th best outside linebacker in the entire 2020 class. He is also considered the 222nd ranked player in the entire class.

Interestingly, despite being in the team’s home state and being highly regarded, Riley has not garnered an offer from ‘Bama. He does have an official scholarship offer from Auburn. At the moment the 247Sports Crystal ball has him solidly heading to the Tigers.

Cam Riley has a total of 16 offers including other Power 5 schools like Louisville, Indiana, and Mississippi State. It’s certainly not going to be an easy job to pull him out of SEC country. The good news is that the best team in the state has decided it can sit and wait on showing interest in one of the best players in Alabama. That could end up being a rather big deal for the Nebraska football team.
