Wandale Robinson is likely at the top of the board for the Nebraska football team.

Just a few hours after the Nebraska football team got word it might be getting a commitment on Friday, the team found out it might be getting another in a few weeks. Wandale Robinson announced he will be committing on November 1.

Robinson would be a massive get for the Cornhuskers though they are going to be hard-pressed to pull him away from the top contenders for his services. When he does pull the trigger, it’s a pretty good bet his decision will come down to the Huskers, Alabama and Ohio State.

At the moment, the Buckeyes are considered the front-runners. He spent the weekend checking out Ohio State’s campus.

If the Cornhuskers are going to win over the 4-star prospect, they are going to need to sell him on how much of an impact he could have when it comes to turning the program around. The good news there is the team is going to have an opening, with Greg Bell leaving and Devine Ozigbo graduating this winter.

The fourth-ranked all-purpose back in the country paid a visit to Lincoln on September 1. That was the weekend they were supposed to play Akron. After seeing how they’ve played since, perhaps it was a bit of a blessing a game wasn’t played that night.

Robinson still got to see what Nebraska has to offer when it comes to fan loyalty and environment. He also took a visit to Alabama on September 22. Going up against the Crimson Tide and Buckeyes for this kind of talent is a heck of a challenge.

It’s clear the back would fit the Nebraska football play style. He’s someone who can rack up the yards on the ground (202 and four touchdowns in his last game) and through the air (five catches for 37 yards). If the Huskers can reel him in on November 1, it’s possible Wandale Robinson would be the kind of program changer at running back that Adrian Martinez has been at quarterback.
