The Nebraska football team has offered a JUCO offensive lineman in yet another sign that Scott Frost and company are trying a quick overhaul.

It doesn’t take an expert to see the Huskers’ offensive line has been inconsistent at best this season. Nebraska football coaches are attempting to fix what ails that unit as fast as they can.

While there isn’t a way to add new bodies this year, Frost and company are making sure the offensive line of future teams are upgraded as much as possible. This includes an official scholarship offer to JUCO offensive lineman Myron Cunningham.

Cunningham is currently playing for Iowa Central C.C. and is piling up the offers from FBS powers. Standing at 6-5 and weighing in at 300 pounds, it’s no wonder some top of the line programs are going after him.

Arkansas is the biggest program outside of the Huskers who have given him an official offer. Cunningham has been getting an increased level of attention recently. In fact, almost all of his scholly offers have come in September and now October.

It stands to reason that the Huskers being so close to Iowa Western C.C. is going to help them a bit. That he is originally from Ohio and would be playing in his backyard could help as well.

Originally, Cunningham committed to Western Illinois out of high school but he ended up going to Iowa Western instead. It appears that was a decent career move as he now has FBS Power 5 programs attempting to add him to their roster.

The announcement of the offer comes amid of spate of new offers from the Cornhuskers. It appears the coaching staff has evaluated what they have on their current roster and believes it has found where holes need to be patched. Now the Nebraska football team is going to need to get Myron Cunningham to commit.
