The Nebraska basketball season is already sold out at home. If there was any doubt how excited fans are, it has now gone away.

The Nebraska basketball program has already had its season tickets completely sold out. There is more than a month to go before the team tips off its regular season.

The team now knows that the Pinnacle Bank Arena is going to be packed when they do indeed tip off against Mississippi Valley State. Of course, it’s not some of the weaker opponents that are driving ticket sales these days.

The Huskers announced they sold out on Wednesday afternoon and no one is confused about why that happened. There is a level of excitement around this program since the heady days of Danny Nee.

Younger fans might not even remember the period of time when the Cornhuskers were expected to go to the tournament every year. That’s partly because the period of time where they were were expected to head to the Big Dance every year was pretty short.

Tim Miles, Armon Gates, and company are hoping this period is longer. Considering the returning players to a team that should have made the tournament last year, it’s going to be at least one season more.

Isaiah Roby, James Palmer Jr and Isaac Copeland are considered some of the best returning players in the entire Big Ten. An extra year of playing together should lead to a better 2018-19 season.

The Nebraska basketball has taken the first step to success. They’re going to be playing in front of packed houses. Now they need to win those games.
