The Nebraska football team is working overtime to try and get Noah Vedral eligible for 2018. That and other kernels in today’s Go Big Read.

It’s now been established that the Tristan Gebbia situation caught the Nebraska football coaching staff off guard. As a kind of backup plan, the staff has renewed its efforts to get Noah Vedral eligible for the current season.

The Huskers have been told, more than once, that the UCF transfer quarterback would not be able to be active for the 2018 season. While some players are able to get “hardship” waivers (as Breon Dixon did) the NCAA doesn’t see Scott Frost taking another job as one of those hardships.

With just one scholarship quarterback on the active roster, don’t expect to see the program give up on this quest anytime soon. You can read about that and other kernels in this morning’s Go Big Read.
