A week after the Nebraska football had a running back commit open his recruiting, another commit tore his ACL. That and other kernels in today’s Go Big Read.

The Nebraska football team should still be getting bathed in nothing but excitement and happiness. Instead, the weeks leading up to the first game of the season have been all about bad news.

Players like Avery Roberts and Will Jackson have decided to transfer. So did quarterback Tristan Gebbia.

Then there was Tre Bryant and Jalin Barnett transferring. The Huskers also lost running back commit Thomas Grayson.
