Breon Dixon doesn’t make the Nebraska football depth chart

If there was one player that transferred to the Nebraska football team that looked like he was going to be an instant contributor, it was Breon Dixon.

Now he’s not even listed on the week one depth chart. What exactly happened?

The coaches are staying relatively mum on just why the Ole Miss product isn’t expected to see the field unless we’re talking about a blowout. It doesn’t appear it’s an injury thing.

Considering he was here in the spring and seemed to grasp the offense, one has to wonder.

On Monday, coaches were talking about the prospect of Dixon taking a redshirt year. It’s good that he hasn’t, at least for now, followed the line of kids who are walking out the door when they don’t like their spot on the roster.

If he’s not a contributor this year, he stands a pretty good chance of contributing next season. That’s why it’s good he seems to have his head screwed on straight.
