Nebraska football’s week one depth chart provided a number of surprises. We break down what stuck out to us in the first week of the Scott Frost era.

It’s finally game week. It’s been game week for a day but there was a story that sort of drowned out the prep for this week that went down yesterday.

Turning the page from the drama unfolding at quarterback, let’s start to focus on the first regular season game of the Scott Frost regime. The good news is that first game is against Akron.

The bad news is we really don’t know what to expect from this team. The questions about what we are going to see on Saturday only increased with the release of the official depth chart.

Yes, the question of who would be under center has been answered. The question of how the two quarterbacks would share snaps has been answered as well.

Adrian Martinez and Tristan Gebbia won’t be sharing snaps. There is a question as to whether Andrew Bunch should share some snaps throughout the season. He should at least get some this week.

The quarterback question is settled. There are still all kinds of questions all over the roster, some of those specifically created by who is where and who isn’t anywhere to be found.

Check out the five things that stood out to us with this first depth chart. See if you agree. If there are other questions about the Nebraska football team, don’t hesitate to ask and we’ll see if we can get those answers.
