The threatening quote from Scott Frost is the runner-up for top of the list of quotes of his since he came to the Nebraska football team. It created many headlines during Big Ten Media Days. It was this short but impactful sentence:

"[Other teams] better get us now because we’re just going to keep getting better."

This was the quote heard around the nation, or at least around the Big Ten. This was college football’s fair warning that there is a storm coming. It may not come in 2018, but it will come.

This quote is important because it displays a certain competitiveness and confidence that Mike Riley never had. When Frost uttered those words, it was taken quite a bit differently than when his boss, Athletic Director Bill Moos said something similar.

When Moos claimed Michigan and Ohio State better watch out, most people around the country took it as an opportunity to make fun of the new AD. When Scott Frost said it about his Nebraska football team, people listened.

If I was another Big Ten team I would certainly be scared of the Nebraska football team after that one.
