The Nebraska football team has had a wide variety of predictions set for the 2018 season.

How is the Nebraska football team going to do in 2018? That depends on who you ask.

Entering the season with one of the toughest schedules in the country, the Cornhuskers have mostly been picked to finish anywhere from five wins to nine. We picked them to finish in between those numbers, with eight victories.

Josh Nagel, the senior analyst for Sportsline is looking at the Huskers season from another angle. Nagel is taking a look at the over/under his site has set the Cornhuskers’ win total.

Nebraska has had its over/under set at 5.5. Nagel believes the Huskers have a very good chance of hitting the over. That over would have the team sitting at six wins and making a bowl game.

Nagel made it clear the big reason he thinks the Huskers will hit the over is because of its head coach:

"“The program scored a major coup in hiring iconic figure Scott Frost, whose dazzling transformation of Central Florida from winless to undefeated is one of the most remarkable coaching feats seen at the FBS level.”"

While singing the praises of Scott Frost, the analyst is clearly not a huge fan of what the Blackshirts did a year ago. Nagel believes the offense might be able to pick up the slack this year and help get the Nebraska football team to at least six wins.

Considering that would still be at least a two-game improvement over 2018, it seems as though most Cornhusker fans would take that with a smile.
