Nebraska football offensive line coach Greg Austin has been named to ESPN’s list of some of the best up and coming coaches in the country.

There are quite a few up and coming coaches on the Nebraska football staff. Among those young up and comers is new offensive line coach Greg Austin.

ESPN certainly recognizes not only that Austin is one of the best young coaches in the conference, but he’s also one of the best young coaches in the entire country.

That’s why Austin was recently named to ESPN’s “40 under 40.” It’s their annual roundup of the 40 best coaches in the country under the age of 40.

The list collects head coaches, coordinators, and position coaches and it should make all Husker fans happy that the team’s offensive line coach is the one that made it.

In addition to Austin, there are a couple of coaches on the list that the Huskers will go up against this season. Troy head coach Neal Brown, who is just 38 years old will be bringing his Trojans team into Lincoln in September.

Ryan Day is normally the offensive coordinator for Ohio State. At the moment, thanks to Urban Meyer’s suspension he’s also the team’s head coach.

That means the Huskers managed to find a way to find not one but two head coaches on the list that managed to be among the best coaches in the country that are still quite young.
