Nebraska recruiting is cruising right along as the fall camp kicks off. The Huskers are in the top list for one of the best offensive tackles in the country.
Nebraska recruiting doesn’t take a break just because fall camp is here. The new Nebraska football staff is well aware of the fact that they need to keep bringing in talent.
The Huskers took a step towards bringing in one of the most talented offensive tackles in the 2020 class on Friday when Turner Corcoran included them in his “final seven” teams.
Corcoran tweeted out his list, with the caption “the next step.” The Cornhuskers join Ohio State, Kansas State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and … Kansas?!?!
Yes, you read that right. The Kansas Jayhawks are among the schools the big offensive tackle is still considering.
That selection isn’t quite as crazy as you might think, since he hails from Lawrence, Kansas. It’s still quite odd to see the Jayhawks hanging with some of the most coveted programs in the country.
Corcoran is rated as a 4-star prospect on 247Sports composite rankings. He’s also the best player in the state of Kansas for the 2020 class.
The big-time prospect is also the 10th best tackle in the entire class and 95th best player overall. Needless to say, the Cornhuskers are going to have their work cut out for them.
Ohio State is considered the front-runner when looking at crystal balls. If the Buckeyes decide to go away from Urban Meyer, you have to think the situation might change.
When it comes to Nebraska recruiting, the upcoming season is likely going to play a big role for players like Turner Corcoran. The Huskers have gotten their foot in the door for quite a few of the country’s best. Now Scott Frost and company need to show the turnaround is a real thing.
