Nebraska football players like Tyjon Lindsey are doing all they can to get ready for a big season.

Tyjon Lindsey and the rest of the Nebraska football receiving corps aren’t able to work with Troy Walters yet. The current position coach for the group won’t be able to work directly with them again until August.

Because Lindsey is one of those who is looking to have a huge bounce-back season for the Huskers, that doesn’t mean he’s taking the summer off. In fact, it appears one of the top recruits a year ago is making sure he’s getting “better and better.”

In order to do that, it turns out he’s working with one of his former coaches. Lindsey posted a short video on his Twitter page showing the player working out with former receivers’ coach Keith Williams.

Williams came to Nebraska with Mike Riley and like the rest of the staff, was fired when Riley was let go. Despite being thought of as one of the best coaches at his position in the college ranks, it appears Williams is still looking for his next job.

While he waits, he’s still doing what he does best, coaching up some of the best athletes in the game. One other nice little tidbit coming from that video is who else Lindsey is working out with.

Eagle eyes on Reddit pointed out the speedster wearing the #11 jersey is Kansas City Chiefs’ player Tyreek Hill. That would be the same Tyreek Hill that had 75 catches for 1,183 yards last season for Chiefs.

There are likely to be some people who are a bit nervous about a current Husker getting coached up by someone who was fired from the university. The rather obvious rebuttal to those concerns is that it was hardly the fault of the receiver corps that the Cornhuskers struggled the last few years.

Keith Williams might have had some personal problems in Lincoln, but he has to at least get some credit for two of the best seasons any Husker wide receivers have ever had in what JD Spielman and Stanley Morgan Jr did in 2017.

Lindsey also getting to work out with one of the true up and coming NFL stars doesn’t hurt either. The long and short of it is that it’s great to see Nebraska football players working this hard, even when they don’t “have” to. It’s also great to see they’re doing literally everything they can to get just a little better.
