There may not be a Nebraska football fan on this list that is more surprising than Chuck Liddell. It’s interesting that the MMA fighter would be drawn to the Cornhuskers because at first glance, it doesn’t appear there is any reason why he should be a Husker fan.

Liddell is one of the best MMA fighters in the history of the sport. There are few out there that are as good or as intimidating as Liddell.

That was especially true when he was at his peak. So just how does this MMA fighter, who hails from San Luis Obispo end up being a Husker fan?

How he managed to become a fan is still a bit of a mystery, but he’s definitely got Husker red running through his veins. Liddel even put his money where his fandom is.

The fighter was, at least at one time, part owner of two Lincoln area bars. Both of them are well known as Husker bars.

Chief among them was a local haunt known as the N’Zone. Not surprisingly for a pub with that name, it’s long been a haven for Husker fans during the season and offseason.
