76. team. 123. . . . Maliek Collins

Speaking of Nebraska football guys you might have forgotten were in the NFL, defensive tackle Maliek Collins is one of the best rated former Cornhuskers in Madden NFL 19.

Like Slauson, Collins has mostly been a starter in the NFL since he arrived on the Dallas Cowboys in 2016. He hasn’t put up eye-popping numbers, which is likely why you might not have even known where he was.

Clearly, Dallas like him as he started all 16 games last season at defensive tackle. He played in all 16 the year before, and started 14.

Over the course of his career, Collins has recorded 45 tackles and 7.5 sacks. He actually had a better rookie year than he did in 2017. In 2016 he logged five sacks.

That’s despite the fact that Collins got more playing time a season ago. It is interesting to note that Collins wasn’t considered a sure-fire starter in the NFL when he declared.

Certainly, there were plenty of people who believed he’d be able to make a roster, but after being drafted in the third round, he’s shown that he deserved that high draft status.

Still, a 76 is not a particularly high rating for the former Nebraska football star. He’s going to need to show some improvement in the 2018 season if he wants the Madden NFL 19 devs to hike that number up.
