The Nebraska basketball team apparently decided this was the week to go after some big names in the college basketball world. Not only is McKinney going to be a tall order, but another prospect the Huskers are going after seems like an almost impossible task.

Harlond Beverly announced he received an offer from the Cornhuskers on Monday as well. Beverly took to Twitter to tell the world Tim Miles has officially thrown his hat into the ring.

McKinney is a target of some very good teams. Beverly is a target of teams that are going to be competing for the National Title.

Beverly is a 4-star prospect according to 247Sports’ composite ratings. He has 10 total offers, including ones from Michigan State, Ohio State, Xavier, Florida and Louisville.

There might be a bit of a trump card when it comes to trying to reel Beverly in. He goes to the same high school as Husker commit Kerrington Davis.

Will that be enough of a trump card when it comes to the Nebraska basketball team? Probably not.

A good season, the kind of season that Husker fans think they’re going to see this year could go a long way towards showing Beverly what he can help build. That would mean the Nebraska basketball team would bring in the third best player in the talent-rich state of Michigan and the sixth best combo-guard in the entire 2019 class.
