The Nebraska football team might have gotten a defensive back in the process.

Jamie Nance looks to be a heck of a speed burner at the wide receiver position. He’s also been incredibly consistent at that position.

In his sophomore year at Blanchard, he had 36 catches for 668 yards and six touchdowns. The next season, he had 35 catches for 673 yards and another six touchdowns.

He was far from only a contributor on the offensive side of the ball. There’s a reason why Nance is listed as an athlete.

The Oklahoma native also plays in the defensive secondary. He’s in fact, good enough on that side of the ball that he could eventually be there as a Cornhusker.

While Jamie Nance has been the picture of consistency as a wide receiver in high school, he’s gotten noticeably better on the defensive side of the ball.

In his sophomore season, he had 16 tackles and two interceptions. In his junior year, he had 36 tackles and five interceptions.

It’s apparent that he’s leaning on his ability as a receiver to anticipate on defense. His blazing speed helps him as well. There are a lot of “dual-threat” athletes on the board for the Huskers but Jamie Nance is the one that could be a big asset to the Nebraska football team on offense or defense.
