When it comes to the best wide receivers who have ever played for the Nebraska football team, people might not normally come up with Kenny Bell. The fact of the matter is his numbers show that he is.

Bell starts off our list of the best seasons of any Cornhusker receiver with the season of 2014. That year, Bell caught 47 passes for 788 yards and six touchdowns.

Those numbers didn’t light the college football world on fire, but they are among the best the Huskers’ receiver corps over the decades have put up. That’s especially true for the 788 yards.

The wide receiver managed to put together one of his best career numbers of any pass catcher. There’s a reason he’s had a few shots at the NFL since he graduated.

Bell was one of those guys who could catch a pass and run better than most people on the field. He was also a hell of a blocker. It might say something that the overriding feeling by fans about Kenny Bell was that he wasn’t living up to his potential.

When talking about the most talented receivers in Nebraska football history, he certainly lives up to the billing. That shows considering it was hard to pick an actual season to put here because he had several.
