Stanley Morgan Jr. has showed that he’s got the talent to be a heck of a receiver since the first game he played for the Nebraska football team. He hadn’t really realized that potential until last season, when he stepped up big time.

While 2017 was a lost season for the Huskers in general, Morgan managed to catch 61 passes and 986 yards. The receiver missed one game in the year due to injury.

It’s a safe bet that if Morgan hadn’t missed that game, he would has passed the 1,000-yard mark rather easily. It would have been the first 1,000-yard season in the history of Husker football.

As it is, Morgan now holds the record for yards in a season. He managed to get those yards, as well as 10 touchdowns by being pretty consistent over the course of the year.

Morgan never had more than eight catches in a game and never had less than three. One game that does stand out was against Penn State, where he tried the will the team to victory.

Against the Nittany Lions, the receiver caught seven passes for 185 yards and a touchdown. 2017 was so good that Stanley Morgan Jr. nearly decided to go pro. In the end, he returned to the Nebraska football team. That means there’s a very good chance his 2018 season could be on this list right about this time next year.
