Nebraska football is getting a kind of raw talent in Matthew Anderson.

Matthew Anderson is a heck of an athlete. Perhaps one of the reasons why he’s not getting a ton of looks from bigger schools is that he hasn’t been an offensive lineman for all that long.

Until last season, Anderson was a tight end. That is likely one of the reasons why he has a relatively thin frame.

While the Cornhuskers aren’t necessarily needing to lean on big, bulky offensive lineman, Anderson is probably still a little undersized. That’s also likely why other teams aren’t coming calling for him.

The good news there is that he’s got another year in high school to get used to playing offensive line, and getting just a little more bulk on him.

It’s likely the Huskers aren’t going to be looking for Anderson to put on a ton of weight, but 15-20 pounds before he sets foot on Memorial stadium for a regular season game wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Considering his natural athleticism, it seems as if he can add a bit more bulk, the Nebraska football team has gotten itself a heck of an offensive tackle in Matthew Anderson. He’s a heck of an addition to the 2019 class.
