Nebraska recruiting: In-state prospect enjoys visit to Wisconsin, plans unofficial to Lincoln
When it comes to the Nebraska recruiting efforts surrounding the state’s best players, the outcomes have still been a little hit or miss.
When it comes to Nebraska recruiting and Nick Henrich, it’s hard to know how things are going. The same can be said for Henrich’s teammate at Omaha Burke, Chris Hickman.
Hickman recently said that he hasn’t been all that impressed with any of the schools he’s looked at and may not choose one until after his senior season at Burke is over. Henrich, on the other hand, seems to have really enjoyed his official visits.
That’s a problem for a Nebraska football program that is trying to convince the linebacker to come to Lincoln. Henrich recently completed his first of five official visits. That visit was to division arch-enemy Wisconsin.

The Omaha Burke product later told the Omaha World Herald that he loved what he saw when he visited the Badgers. “It was cool to spend some time with the players that are there and to get to know them.” He said.
The good news is that Henrich is set to make an unofficial visit to Lincoln today. He likely won’t be using up one of his official visit allotment since he’s just an hour away from campus.
The bad news is that most recruiting experts think keeping the state’s number one player and 8th best inside linebacker in the entire class, is going to be difficult. Notre Dame and Iowa have also been big draws for the prospect.

Nick Henrich has said that he wants to make a decision on his school relatively soon. Unlike Hickman he doesn’t want to wait until November or December. That means we aren’t going to have to wait too long to see if the Nebraska recruiting efforts are paying off.
