Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost has come in ranked among the top 30 coaches in the country by Sporting News but is he ranked too low?

Nebraska football head coach Scott Frost has had a heck of a career so far. When it comes to whether or not that earns him the title as one of the best in the country is up for debate.

Rather the debate appears to be where he ranks among the best in the country. Sporting News recently released their ranking of all 130 FBS level head coaches.

Frost was put at number 28 on the list. That’s actually pretty good when you consider that he’s only been a head coach for two years.

At the same time, there are bound to people that point out he took a team that went 0-12 the year before he got there and never posted less than six wins.

Now the head man of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Sporting News even says that if he manages to turn the Husker program around, he’ll “be in the Top 10 in no time.”

There are bound to be some fans who think getting ranked outside of the Top 25 is a big of a slight. They are likely to be rather annoyed he’s ranked right behind Iowa head coach Kirk Ferentz.

The good news is that there are plenty of coaches ranked behind Frost that are considered pretty talented. That group includes up and coming Florida Atlantic head man Lane Kiffin who is ranked 43rd.

Being ranked so low might rankle some people but the list actually looks pretty fair. Most of the coaches ranked ahead of the Nebraska football head coach are guys who have had success at a Power 5 school. It appears that if he does the same, Scott Frost will be able to move up the list rather quickly.
