Tommie Frazier might have busted off the greatest run in Nebraska football history.

When it comes to Nebraska football, there are few runs as revered as what Tommie Frazier did in the Fiesta Bowl against the Florida Gators.

Frazier was in his final year for the Huskers after four years of some of the best and most exciting play the Cornhuskers have been able to experience. It’s no coincidence he came along just as Tom Osborne’s career hit its stride.

The game against Florida was supposed to be a battle of the Titans. It was supposed to be a way fro Gator’s head coach to show his offense was unstoppable.

It turned out that the Huskers defense stopped Danny Wuerffel and the Huskers’ offense turned out to be the one that was unstoppable.

When Tommy Frazier kept the ball, looked like he was stopped by three or four Florida Gators, and then shook them all offer to run to the end zone, it showed just how powerful the Huskers were.

When the announcer busted out “how many tackles can one man break,” we all understood exactly what he was talking about. Watch the above video and tell me you don’t still get chills.

Nebraska football announced its presence with authority on that night. That run went a long way to doing that in the middle of a blowout.
