Nebraska football’s focus on the offensive line continues in Matthew Anderson.

The Nebraska football team has been working hard on improving its offensive line. The team got the commit of one of the best JUCO offensive lineman in the class.

It doesn’t appear they are done going after help in that position as Matthew Anderson has announced he’ll be paying the Cornhuskers a visit. Anderson announced the visit on his Twitter simply by saying that he’s going to be coming soon.

Perhaps the most interesting aspect to this particular recruitment is that Anderson is definitely under the radar. Despite having the body that the Huskers are looking for, he’s not getting much attention from FBS schools.

The only other FBS schools that have offered the offensive tackle from Louisiana are Louisiana Tech, Louisiana-Lafayette and Western Kentucky. Despite not getting much love from Power 5 schools, the Huskers are clearly looking to gain some interest from Anderson.

Much has been made of the fact that Scott Frost and company have been giving out more offers than players they can take. While it’s clear there are going to be some players out there that might say they want to commit, and the staff is going to have to tell them they can’t take them, it seems as though Anderson is not one of those.

It seems unlikely the Husker coaching staff wouldn’t be having the lineman in for a visit, unofficial or not, unless they really saw a fit. That or the coaching staff doesn’t believe they’re in great standing with a number of their other targets on that side of the ball.

Matthew Anderson didn’t say when exactly he’s going to be hitting Lincoln. In his tweet he said he would be seeing the Nebraska football team up close “soon.” Friday Night Lights appears to be the most obvious answer but we’ll have to find out for certain in the coming days.
