Nebraska football makes the cut for talented Texas defensive end Mpagi
The Nebraska football team found that the program is among the ones that defensive end Peter Mpagi is still considering after cutting his list.
The Nebraska football team continues to be in the running for some of their most talented targets. Earlier this week the school found out they had made the cut for touted defensive end Peter Mpagi.
Mpagi announced the cut on his Twitter account, saying that he wasn’t committing yet, but the teams he was looking at was being pared down. The three-star player according to 247Sports narrowed down the teams he was looking at to eight.
In addition to the Cornhuskers, Mpagi is still considering Texas and TCU. He’s also looking at Baylor and Houston in his home state. Outside of Texas, the Huskers are joined by Northwestern as far as teams representing the Big 10.

Mpagi is also still looking at three Pac 12 schools in Arizona State, Cal and Washington. According to 247Sports it appears he’s most likely headed to the Longhorns.
In fact, at the moment, he’s considered a veritable lock to end up in Austin. That doesn’t mean the other schools on his list are going to count him as a lost cause considering the sheer number of players that are coming out of the lone star state.
Peter Mpagi is ranked as the 69th best defensive end in the class. He’s also the 135th best player in the state of Texas. Considering the very real need the Nebraska football team has for a defensive end that can get to the quarterback on a consistent basis, it appears that Peter Mpagi would be one heck of a get.
