Nebraska football should have a particular ‘Bama lineman on their radar
The Nebraska football team has been going after offensive linemen this class in order to help a position of great need.
There’s very little doubt that the Nebraska football coaching staff has pinpointed a need on the offensive line. Between the number of JUCO and regular high school recruits the Cornhuskers have offered in this and the next class, the team is wanting to get a bit of a stockpile.
One player that might have just fallen into the Huskers’ lap is Alabama offensive lineman Brandon Kennedy. Kennedy has been seeking a transfer for the last few weeks.
The Crimson Tide player had thought he found a new home. 247Sports reports that Kennedy had been looking to join either Tennessee or Auburn. The Tide blocked the graduate transfer from any conference opponent.

If Kennedy decides that location isn’t a factor, it would seem the Cornhuskers would be the perfect fit for him. Nebraska just lost what once the starting center in Mike Decker.
Decker decided he no longer wanted to play football. It doesn’t appear he’s transferring but rather finishing up his education in Lincoln.
It isn’t clear if Decker would have won back the starting job this fall, but it’s clear the competition is open. The Huskers haven’t been in the grad transfer market for a quarterback like some thought they might be. They might join the market for this center.
Brandon Kennedy was a four-star offensive line target when he was being recruited. That kind of talent would certainly be welcome as part of the Nebraska football team.
The big question of course, is whether he would have any interest in coming to Lincoln. He’s clearly looking to stay in the area he knows well.

With the number of players that have decided to transfer this spring, it certainly seems as though there is room on the roster if Kennedy is interested.
