Tre Bryant is working his way back to the field for the Nebraska football team. One of his latest social media posts shows how his knee is progressing.

Tre Bryant is in an interesting situation when it comes to the Nebraska football team. The running back was not only a large part of the offense when he was healthy last year, he was the driving force.

The problem is that the qualifier “when healthy” applied to about two weeks of the season. After getting off to a rather impressive start to the year, Bryant injured his knee and sat out the majority of the 2018 season.

The running back is now in a situation where he’s going to have to fight for playing time once again after the signing of Greg Bell. The good news is that it appears the need for him to fight to get back on the field is a driving force behind his rehabilitation.

Late last week, Bryant posted a video titled simply, “progress” that showed him running on his rebuilt knee. The clip did indeed show progress, considering where he was even a month ago.

In April he posted a similar video showing him running up and down the practice field. It also showed what appeared to be a little hitch in his giddyup. It was clear the video was demonstrating that while he was on the way back, the Cornhusker star had a ways to go.

This new video shows the back running around cones and making cuts. In short, it looks like he’s quite a bit on the way back these days.

If he all the way back by the time fall practice kicks off, it’s going to be really interesting to see what happens. On the one hand, Bryant showed he was far and away the best back on the team a year ago.

This coming season, the Nebraska football team has reloaded a bit. It’s an open question whether he can overcome Greg Bell and take back the starter’s mantle. The fact that there’s a chance he could has to be called progress as well.
