Perhaps the most interesting Nebraska football offer to go out on Monday was to Florida defensive tackle Sio Nofoagatotoa. The three-star defensive tackle, much like Jamel Starks is a bit under the radar but has been getting more attention recently.

Nofoagatotoa is a big body (6-3, 315) defensive tackle that certainly can take a great deal of space. He also appears to be someone who can get by the offensive line in good time.

The Cornhuskers aren’t the only ones who have noticed this, though they are the second Big Ten squad to do so. Sio has several offers from the Pac 12.

That includes Arizona and Arizona State as well as Boston College and Buffalo on the East Coast. He’s also got his fair share of FCS schools, though it seems hard to believe the Huskers would rank behind any of those on his list of favorite schools.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about Nofoagatotoa’s offer list is that despite the fact that he hails from Florida, he doesn’t have a single SEC school on the hook. While he has offers from FIU and FAU it’s odd that a player that is right down the road from many of those schools hasn’t gotten more attention from even the lower tier conference schools.

Sio Nofoagatotoa is ranked as the 158th best player in the state of Florida and the 80th best defensive tackle in the 2019 class. It seems as though the Nebraska football team has to be the front-runner to add the defensive tackle at this point.
